IEM's first ever tournament on the Australian continent will feature eight top CS:GO teams from around the world, six of which directly invited, one from the ANZ qualifier and one from the Chinese qualifier kicking off this weekend.
The Chinese qualifier will feature 16 teams divided into four groups of four. The group stage will be played in a GSL format with double elimination best of one matches and best of three group decider matches. Two top teams from each group will advance into the playoffs which will be played in a single elimination best of three format. The team to best all of its opponents will secure a ticket to IEM Sydney.
